Bio - Kristen Heller, CSRIC®
Advisor Bio - Kristen Heller, Chartered SRI CounselorSM
My name is Kristen Heller, CSRIC®. She/her(what's this?)
Like you, I'm multi-dimensional. It's not one single role that defines who I am but the culmination of them all.
I'm a mom, a friend, a wife and a financial advisor.
I'm a passionate person who likes to put my money where my values lay. I try to shop sustainably, eat organically, be respectful of diverse opinions and cheer on professional power women. I have been in finance for my entire adult career in one respect or the other. I know what it feels like to live paycheck to paycheck. To work hard and achieve goals and wonder what's next. I have been in your shoes.
New England has always been my home and Holliston, Massachusetts is where my husband, Chris and I are raising our two boys. Whether venturing out on the beaches of Cape Cod, visiting the ski mountains of New Hampshire or camping in the green forests of Vermont, my family and I enjoy all that New England has to offer.
Our team and I look forward to the opportunity to serve you.
Education & Designations
I'm a proud graduate of Keene State College at Keene, New Hampshire. I went in as an environmental science major and left with a Bachelor of Science in Business, after deciding to pursue a path of education that would allow me to build a tailored career.
I know first-hand how overwhelming it is to find a trusted financial advisor to help you with your financial future. The relationship you form spills into all aspects of life. When my mom’s struggle with Parkinson’s Disease forced us to make tough decisions, my advisor relationship was invaluable. Knowing some of the harsh realities we and others in similar situations face, is what motivates me every day to help you reach your goals and mitigate risks you cannot predict. Values-driven investing, equity compensation and advanced planning with life insurance are other areas that I particularly have experience with.
I hold the Chartered SRI CounselorSM (CSRIC®) professional designation, a groundbreaking certification in the fast-growing field of sustainable, responsible and impact investing (SRI) and is an industry-recognized credential encouraged by top financial firms. The CSRIC® program provides financial advisors and investment professionals with foundational knowledge about the history, definitions, trends, portfolio construction principles, fiduciary responsibilities, and best practices for sustainable investments.
I am also currently enrolled in the Certified Financial PlannerTM program at the College for Financial Planning, with hopes of qualifying for the CFP® designation in 2023.
Advisor Licensing, Compensation & ADV
Planning for Good offers planning services and wealth management, as well as investment and insurance products from various vendors. As such, I can be compensated in the form of set fees and/or sales commissions, depending on the services you choose.
I hold the following licenses:
- Series 7 General Securities Registered Representative, broker
- Series 66 - Combined securities agent and Investment Advisor Representative
- Life & Health Insurance
These licenses are held in my resident state of Massachusetts, as well as several other states, and additional states can be added to accommodate clients throughout the United States.
These licenses require that I be held to the fiduciary standard of care, that is, to provide advice and recommendations that are in the best interest of my clients.
